Biography
Brahmanandam was born on 1 February 1956 in Satyanapani, Andhra Pradesh. The father's name of Brahmanandam was Kanyaganti Nagalingacharya, and the mother's name was Lakshmi Narasimha. His father was a farmer and mother was a housewife. Bamhanandan's wife's name is Lakshmi Kenaganti. They have two sons, the elder son's name is Raja Gautam and the younger son's name is Sidharya.
Education
Brahmanandam did his primary schooling in Satyanaparni and did his MA from DNR college Bhimvaram.
Career
Brahmanandam was fond of acting since childhood, but there was no mentor or so he gave his full attention to studies, after completing college, he was a teacher in his village college. Even after becoming a teacher, he did not give up his passion for acting. He gave many auditions but success did not come to him.
After a lot of effort and improvement in acting, Jandhyala subramanya gave him a very small role in the 1986 film Chanta bbal and Brahmanandam's career started in Tollyword.
After seeing Brahmanandam's performance, Chiranjeevi, the great superstar from the south, started giving Brahmanandam work in his films. Chiranjeevi has worked with him in many films like Prasivadi praneim, chakravarthi, Swayam Krushi.
Awards
- In 1992, Brahmanandam received the Telugu Filmfare Best Comedian Award for the film Babai Hotel.
- In 1993, he got Nandi awared for Best male for his performance in the movie Money.
- In 1994, he received the Nandi Award for Best Supporting Actor for the film Anna. Initially he has received 5 nandi awared, 1 film fare awared, 6 cinema awarels, 3 south indian international movie awards. It shows his best acting, comedy and timing.
Bamhanandam has worked with all the Tollywood actors. Brahmanandam played the role of commey in his movie Attarintiki Daredi which was released in 2013 and this movie did box office business of 126 crores.
Due to his work, Brahmanandam was the Higest Paid commidean of Tollywood. He has worked in more than 1000 films in his career. For this his name is in the Guinness Book of World records. Bamhanandam has done many hit movies in his career like Daredi, Bruce Lee the fighter, The return of Rebel, Rowdy Badhsah.
In 2009, Brahmanandam was awarded the Padmashri Award.
